Available in different designs and colorways, the Lil Wayne apparel collection features several T-shirts, hoodies, and tour shirts from the Fall/Winter 2018 ‘FW18’ collection celebrating the release of Tha Carter V album by Lil Wayne. Following the announcement of Tha Carter V album on September 26th, 2018, the rapper announced a tie-in limited-edition merchandise collection in collaboration with 14 talented designers.
The first product from the collection is the Lil Wayne Heron Preston Tee White, a collaborative effort between the rapper and fashion designer Heron Preston. This tee features an airbrushed image of Lil Wayne with "THE CARTER V" (sic) branding in the center and "HERON PRESTON" at the bottom of the shirt. At the back, the title of the Carter III classic, "What's a Goon to a Goblin?" is replicated in bright green. The darker hues contrast vehemently with the pink album title below.
Lil Wayne also teamed up with LA-based clothing brand Chinatown Market for the Lil Wayne Chinatown Market Tee Black. Available in Black, the front of this tee features a several graphic prints, including three portraits of the rapper, two in color and one in black and white. Other details include the words "I AM MUSIC." in the upper left, "LIL" in the upper right corner, and "WAYNE" at the bottom in contrasting tones. Chinatown Market is inscribed on a silver plate in the center of the design.
The Lil Wayne apparel collection features the Lil Wayne Midnight Studios L/S Tee White, a white long-sleeved tee that pays homage to the rapper’s long career. The partnership with Midnight Studios features a black and white portrait of the rapper on the front and graffiti-themed stylized writing on the left sleeve.
